Dear Visitor,

With this introductory message, I would like to invite you to a dialogue with Lviv City Council, which will yield a result. There is no other alternative to a result-oriented collaboration with you once you visit Lviv and experience a strange contradiction of glorious and UNESCO recognized past with existing under-invested infrastructure, lack of business activity and designated consumption power.

This is not to discourage but rather stimulate your interest in Lviv.  The more challenges we face here, the more opportunities there will be for development of your business, regardless whether this be direct investment, partnership, joint venture or other. There is still a lot of room for everyone, as it has been for the last years.  What is different though is a new team of young, experienced and well trained individuals who are determined to attract as much capital into the city as possible. This team recognizes the importance of an open, unbiased and rigorous dialogue as one of the key success factor to prepare a project. This has been acknowledged by recent partnerships with EBRD and HP Global e-Business Operations, which despite the crisis have made their decision to invest in Lviv.

I would like to invite you to such a dialogue, which, I am convinced, is worth thousands words, dozens of presentations. Our team is here for you and we plan to expand by transforming from the office of investments into the department adding more staff and more processes to accommodate the need in investment attraction, research and analysis, project management and monitoring. We joined efforts with the regional authorities in establishing an investment promotion agency, which is designed to become a front office for those businesses interested in investments into the region. Only for the last year, through a work with HP and EBRD we have generated necessary network on a national level, which could be vital for some of the major investments seeking incentives.

We look forward to cooperating with you in the following way:

- within 7 days we will commit to a dialogue with you and identify all the necessary information, data and decisions related to your proposed business case

- provided a continued interest on your side, we will appoint a project team and present your business case at the Investment Council chaired by the Mayor of Lviv, which approves the investment projects in principles ensuring necessary support of local self-government bodies

- define a clear road map to take your project to a successful outcome. Despite what you usually would read in media, local or foreign, particularly Russian, this is the right time to invest and the right place.  We may lack sophisticated incentives schemes but can offer higher margins and unfilled niches instead in the country that is doomed to be a EU member sometime in the future
